Minister Yumaklı Visits Kars: Ardahan Left Out of the Itinerary

The Ardahan Newspaper | Since 1995 |
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı visited Kars as part of a regional program covering Eastern Anatolian provinces, meeting with agriculture and livestock sector representatives to deliver key statements. Evaluating Turkey's production potential and new livestock policies, Minister Yumaklı highlighted that the implemented strategies are yielding positive results in the field.

However, the Minister’s decision not to include neighbor city Ardahan—one of the region’s most crucial livestock hubs—in his itinerary caused disappointment among locals. Regional producers in Ardahan, whose livelihoods depend primarily on cattle farming and beekeeping, expressed their desire for a similar ministerial visit in the near future to review support projects and agricultural developments on-site.
