The lifeless body of 45-year-old shepherd Cengiz İlkaz, who disappeared after being swept away by the current while attempting to cross the Kura River on horseback in the Büyük Cıncorop village area of Ardahan, has been recovered. Following an emergency response by gendarmerie, AFAD, and search-and-rescue teams, both İlkaz and his horse were found dead in the river. The shepherd's body was subsequently brought to the İkizdere village of Damal for funeral arrangements.
