BURSA / INEGOL – Originally from Baykent village in the Posof district of Ardahan, 45-year-old private security guard Yüksel Kılıçoğlu, who resides in the İnegöl district of Bursa, has achieved remarkable success driven by his quarter-century-long passion for painting. Due to his deep love for art, Kılıçoğlu transformed the attic of his 3-story house into a professional art studio, producing nearly a thousand artworks to date
Artistry Both on Canvas and in Verses
A father of two, Kılıçoğlu has been working uninterruptedly for 25 years using wood burning, oil painting, and charcoal techniques. He has proven his talent not only in visual arts but also in literature. By gathering the poems he had been jotting down on small pieces of paper and notebooks since his high school years, he published his first poetry book titled "Kalp Heybesindeki Sözler" (Words in the Saddlebag of the Heart). The book features exactly 288 poems themed around his hometown Ardahan, İnegöl, anda love. Having opened solo exhibitions in various cities and donated a portion of his works to charity organizations, the talented security guard stated that he will continue his artistic journey as long as he lives.
