ZONGULDAK – A tragic accident occurred in northern Türkiye as a firedamp explosion rocked a privately operated coal mine in the Kilimli district of Zonguldak province.
Emergency response teams, including medical crews and search-and-rescue units, were dispatched to the site immediately following the underground blast. Official reports confirm that 3 miners lost their lives in the disaster. Five other workers sustained injuries, with 2 currently in critical condition, and all have been rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
