A severe hail and storm struck the village of Öncül in the Çıldır district of Ardahan yesterday evening, causing extensive damage. The harsh weather conditions blew off the roofs of more than 20 houses and barns, leaving approximately 70% of the village's homes uninhabitable.
No casualties or injuries have been reported. Following the incident, AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority), gendarmerie, and local agriculture teams were dispatched to the area to initiate damage assessment and support operations.
