Ömer Hilmi Yamlı, who was appointed as the Governor of Ardahan by the Presidential Decree, officially assumed his office today. A welcoming ceremony was held in front of the Governorship building, where Governor Yamlı was greeted by provincial protocol members, heads of public institutions, and governorship personnel.
Born in 1979 in the Ahlat district of Bitlis, Ömer Hilmi Yamlı graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Public Administration. Throughout his career in civil administration, he served as the District Governor of Konya Halkapınar, Erzurum Şenkaya, Deputy Governor of Erzurum, official at the Ministry of Interior General Directorate of Local Authorities, and District Governor of Konya Selçuklu, Kocaeli Kartepe, and most recently Gaziantep Şehitkamil. Governor Yamlı is married and has three children.
