The 13th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Ardahan University Development Foundation was accomplished. The general assembly, organized at the Yenisey Guesthouse Conference Hall, was led by the Honorary President of the Foundation, Prof. Dr. Esfender Korkmaz. The Rector of Ardahan University, Prof. Dr. Öztürk Emiroğlu, members of the foundation's board of trustees, and representatives from various institutions and organizations attended the meeting
The general assembly commenced with a moment of silence, followed by the election of Prof. Dr. Esfender Korkmaz as the head of the council, while Prof. Dr. Halim Kazan, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at Istanbul University, and Çetin Demirci, President of the Ardahan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, were elected as members. During the assembly, the foundation's activity reports and financial statements were discussed and approved, and evaluations regarding the collection of membership dues and new term operations were made. Additionally, the board of trustees membership of Prof. Dr. Yusuf Bayraktar was unanimously accepted
During the meeting, projects aimed at supporting the academic and social requirements of the university were addressed, and regional development initiatives were evaluated. Within this scope, proposals regarding joint projects with the Kars Ardahan Iğdır Foundation and improving transportation between the campus and the city center were discussed. The discussions also brought up topics such as enhancing Ardahan's tourism potential, utilizing the Bee Simulation Museum more effectively, contributing to the branding process of Ardahan honey, increasing student scholarships, and institutionalizing academic incentive awards. The general assembly concluded following the evaluation of future targets and wishes.
