President Erdoğan Welcomes Four-Time Consecutive Champions Galatasaray
Historic Reception at Dolmabahçe Palace
Galatasaray Men’s Football Team, celebrating their historic 4th consecutive Trendyol Süper Lig title for the 2025-2026 season, was officially received by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Working Office in Istanbul. The delegation included Galatasaray President Dursun Aydın Özbek, board members, head coach Okan Buruk, and the championship-winning squad.
To mark the occasion, President Özbek presented the President with a customized Galatasaray jersey featuring the number 53 (representing Erdoğan's hometown, Rize) and a specially crafted painting of the club’s crest. The visit concluded with an official group photo session with the championship trophy.
President Erdoğan’s Statement
Following the reception, President Erdoğan praised the club's international legacy, stating:
"We met in Istanbul with the players, technical staff, and managers of Galatasaray, who achieved a historic success by becoming the Süper Lig Champions for the 4th consecutive time. Galatasaray's achievements, particularly in Europe, hold a very exceptional place in the memory of our nation. I wish continued success to Galatasaray, which continues to be one of the faces of Turkish sports in the international arena.
