Archaeology Program Organized in Ardahan
A program titled "Archaeological Excavations, Chronological Processes, and Cultural Policies in Eastern Anatolia" was organized in Ardahan. Governor Hayrettin Çiçek emphasized the importance of archaeological work for preserving cultural heritage and social awareness, noting that they aim to establish an excavation directorate and a museum at the university in the future. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zafer Aykanat highlighted the multi-layered historical structure of Eastern Anatolia and stated that universities bear the responsibility of generating the academic infrastructure to explore these under-researched areas
