Officials from the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI) conducted on-site evaluations of the land consolidation and on-farm development services projects currently underway in Kars and Ardahan.
The technical delegation, led by Fatma Tüz Zehra Gülsever, Deputy Head of the DSI Land Consolidation and On-Farm Development Department, included Branch Manager Gökhan Can, technical experts, and representatives from contractor companies. The team examined the current progress and technical operations of the ongoing field work.
The extensive projects cover 22,000 hectares in the Kars Arpaçay Plain and 27,000 hectares in the Ardahan Plain. Upon completion, nearly 52,000 hectares of agricultural land across 56 settlements will benefit from enhanced irrigation infrastructure and optimized modern farming operations.
